SUNDOWNS STARLET THATO SIBIYA OFF TO FRANCE TO COMPLETE LILLE MOVE
Sibiya is now expected to undergo medicals before putting pen to paper on a season-long loan deal with Lille.
The 20-year-old left-back was only promoted to the Sundowns first team in January following his impressive performances in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team.
And while he has not featured much for the senior team, it appears Lille had been following his progress in the DDC team.
Now, this loan move paves way for Sibiya to make it permanent at the end of it as Lille have an option to purchase.
Sibiya leaves Sundowns having not featured for the club this season, but he will hope to get minutes under his belt at his new club.
He is a full junior international having featured for South Africa’s U20 side at the Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile.

The left-footed player featured just four times for the Brazilians, including two appearances in the CAF Champions League.
As previously mentioned, Sibiya is a full junior international with five caps and a goal for the SA U17 and nine caps for the U20 team.
