Mohau Nkota‘s agent Karabo Tshabuse has revealed the real reasons behind her client’s return from Saudi Arabia to rejoin Orlando Pirates.
The 21-year-old winger was unveiled by the Buccaneers on Thursday, and the club confirmed that it was a season-long loan deal.
Nkota spent just a season in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq who signed him prior to the start of the previous campaign.
And while he had a promising start to life at Al-Ettifaq, Nkota’s performances were affected by the loss of his father coupled with injuries.
Now, Tshabuse said Nkota needed a support structure during this period of his career, and that’s something he could only receive at home.

“I think it’s all about what Mohau needs at this particular stage of his career and his life,” Tshabuse told SABC Sport.
“He has gone through a difficult season following the passing of his father, and coming back home gives him an opportunity to have a support structure around him, and most importantly he will still play professional football at the highest level.
“The injury did arrive at an unfortunate time, but such is life it’s unpredictable.
“We believe the loan spell will help in Mohau’s ability to compete again for a spot in the national team and he’s going back to a place where he can get back to his best and rediscover his form,” added Tshabuse.
