Orlando Pirates have collected 10 points from their opening four league matches, leaving them among the early pace-setters.
Their momentum was further boosted by a commanding 3-0 victory over Sekhukhune United in the second leg of their MTN8 semi-final. The result secured a 4-0 aggregate win and booked the Buccaneers a place in the final.
September will now provide a different kind of test.
ORLANDO PIRATES FACE BUSY SEPTEMBER
The month begins with a league assignment away from home. On Tuesday, 1 Septembe the Soweto giants travel to Mbombela to face Kruger United in the Betway Premiership. Kick-off is scheduled for 19:30.
The Buccaneers then turn their attention to continental football.
On Sunday, 6 September, the Sea Robbers travel to face La Cure Waves SC in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary-round tie. The match is scheduled for 13:30.
The return leg follows six days later, with La Cure Waves SC visiting Bucs on Saturday, 12 September. That match kicks off at 15:00.
The Buccaneers then return to league action.

BUCCANEERS TARGET MORE POINTS
On Wednesday, 16 September, Orlando Pirates host Durban City in a Betway Premiership clash at 19:30.
Their September campaign concludes with another away fixture on Sunday, 20 September, when they travel to face Marumo Gallants at 15:00.
The schedule gives Bucs five matches in 20 days across two major competitions. With the MTN8 final also secured, the Buccaneers have already demonstrated their ability to handle a demanding campaign.
Now they must maintain that level across the league and Africa.
