Two new signings joining Sundowns camp

Posted on January 11, 2026

South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly set to welcome Khulumani Ndamane and Brayan Leon as new signings.

Ndamane has made the short trip from Mbombela, where he played for TS Galaxy. Leon has crossed oceans from Colombia.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS TO ANNOUNCE TWO NEW PLAYERS

According to multiple local reports, the two new players are linking up with the team’s training camp in Polokwane.

KHULUMANI NDAMANE

Ndamane’s progression has been steady. He turned professional in June 2024 after completing a move to TS Galaxy, following his development in the Kaizer Chiefs academy and regular involvement in the DStv Diski Challenge.

Looking for consistent first-team opportunities, the defender chose to move on, and he settled in well at the Rockets. Over the course of the season, he became a regular option in central defence.

In his first campaign with TS Galaxy, Ndamane made more than 30 appearances in all competitions and contributed to the club’s fifth-place finish in the league.

BRAYAN LEON

Kabo Yellow have also moved to strengthen their attack with the reported signing of Colombian striker Brayan León from Independiente Medellín in a deal valued at around $3.5 million (approximately R57 million).

Born on 19 October 2000, León began his professional career with Deportivo Pereira, where he made his breakthrough in 2021. He enjoyed a productive spell during the 2022 Torneo Finalización, scoring eight goals in 15 appearances as Pereira went on to win the title.

That run of form earned him a transfer to Atlético Junior at the start of 2023, though his time there was brief.

León later joined Independiente Medellín in mid-2023, where he continued his career across domestic competitions and the Copa Sudamericana.

In the meantime, Sundowns have so far announced the blockbuster signing of Monnapule Saleng from Orlando Pirates.
