Transfer report: Orlando Pirates sign Golden Arrows superstar
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Reddit

Orlando Pirates have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old for several weeks. The deal has now been wrapped up as the club continues its aggressive recruitment drive ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

According to FARPost journalist Mthokozisi Dube, the Buccaneers and Golden Arrows reached an agreement for the transfer, while Ndlovu also accepted the personal terms offered by the club.

ORLANDO PIRATES LAND SIYANDA NDLOVU

Ndlovu, known as “Skhwishi,” arrives after an impressive season in Durban, where he established himself as one of Golden Arrows’ standout performers.

Across 31 appearances in all competitions, the attacking midfielder contributed four goals and eight assists. He duly attracted interest from several Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, before Orlando Pirates won the race for his signature.

The signing is widely viewed as part of the Buccaneers’ long-term planning. Particularly with growing expectations that Relebohile Mofokeng could secure a move overseas.

However, even if Mofokeng remains at the club for another season, Ndlovu adds valuable creativity and depth to an already talented attacking department.

WHY SIYANDA NDLOVU?

Ndlovu has built a reputation as one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Betway Premiership. Although naturally deployed on the wing, he is equally comfortable operating as a central attacking midfielder, giving coaches flexibility across the front line.

The Dannhauser-born player progressed through Happy Crown FC, Newcastle All Stars in the KZN lower division. He later completed his move to the Golden Arrows DStv Diski Challenge team. This was followed by breaking into the senior side during the 2023/24 season.

Since then, his pace, dribbling ability and vision in the final third have made him one of Arrows’ key creative outlets.

Now, he takes the next step in his career with Orlando Pirates, expectations will be significantly higher. The Soweto giants aim to compete for domestic honours and make an impact on the continental stage.

WHY DO YOU MAKE OF THIS MOVE?
