Former Orlando Pirates star Thabo Rakhale has landed a new club after one year as a free agent.

Rakhale, 33, has been without a club for a season after leaving Sekhukhune United and made his struggles known when finding it hard to get back in the game.

It was a far cry from the dribbling wizard that once dazzled crowds during his time with the Buccaneers between 2012 and 2017 albeit having spent some time away on loan.

But with over 200 appearances in the top flight for the Buccaneers, Chippa United, Polokwane City and TTM and Babina Noko, his flight came as s surprise.

iDiski Times understands Township Rollers saw their opening offers rejected for the player but managed to secure his services this week when talks were rekindled.

The Botswana giants, who finished fourth last season are aiming to fight for the title one again next season with a new-look squad and already signed another former Pirates player in the form of Siphamandla Sangweni last week.
