Stellenbosch FC have officially announced the permanent signing of defender Given Msimango from Kaizer Chiefs.
The news of Msimango to Stellies surfaced last week as Amakhosi were in talks with the Winelands-based outfit for the services of Langelihle Phili.
He was thought to have been part of the deal to bring Phili to Naturena, but it appears this was a straight deal.
Msimango‘s proposed move to Stellies somehow came as a surprise after the lanky traveled with Chiefs to Spain.
Nonetheless, the arrival of Thabo Moloisane on a free transfer after leaving Stellies meant he would struggle for regular game time at Chiefs.
He leaves Chiefs having featured 53 times across all competitions since joining the club from TS Galaxy.

MSIMANG BECOMES THIRD AMAKHOSI PLAYER TO JOIN STELLIES
The 29-year-old centre-back becomes Amakhosi’s third player to leave for Stellies in this transfer window.
George Matlou was the first to join Gavin Hunt’s side, and he was followed by Ashley du Preez whose move was also confirmed on Tuesday.
According to Stellenbosch FC, Msimango will wear the No.30 jersey as he looks to revive his career with the club.
