SABC to broadcast Kaizer Chiefs match

Posted on February 1, 2026

It has been confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs vs ZESCO United will be live on SABC 1 at 15:00 this afternoon from the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Amakhosi have a chance to move up to second spot in their CAF Confederation Cup Group D campaign, following a 2-1 loss to Al-Masry, a 1-1 draw with Zamalek and a 1-0 win over ZESCO last weekend.

FORM GUIDE AND INJURY NEWS

Kaizer Chiefs are on a three-match winning run across all competitions, and are yet to concede a goal this year.

The back-to-back 1–0 Betway Premiership wins over Golden Arrows and Marumo Gallants have pushed Chiefs up to third, while that same scoreline against ZESCO in Zambia has kept their CAF Confederation Cup hopes alive.

ZESCO, by contrast, have struggled in 2026. One win and two defeats in all competitions tell the story. A narrow 1–0 domestic victory over Kabwe Warriors offered some relief, but losses to Nkana (2–1) and Kaizer Chiefs have exposed their form.

In continental action, it’s been a brutal run. They’re bottom of Group D, three matches, three losses. A 1–0 defeat to Zamalek, a painful 3–2 loss to Al-Masry, and then the 1–0 home setback against Kaizer Chiefs have left them chasing survival.

The Soweto giants’ Reeve Frosler is out for six weeks after knee surgery, joining Sibongiseni “Ox” Mthethwa, Thabo Cele and Bradley Cross on the sidelines. George Matlou has returned to training but isn’t match-ready yet, while Rushwin Dortley and Fiacre Ntwari are edging closer to comebacks.
