Reisinho Reflects On Joining Sundowns

Posted on December 29, 2025

New Mamelodi Sundowns signing Miguel Silva Reisinho has reflected on the reception he received upon joining the club as well as the honour of playing for the South African champions.

Reisinho was a marquee signing for the Brazilians this campaign, joining from Portuguese side Boavista and has already impressed in his few matches under the belt at Chloorkop.

The 26-year-old netted in his CAF Champions League debut as they secured an emphatic 5–1 away triumph over Nigeria’s Remo Stars.

Born in Vila Meã, Reisinho has now broken his silence on how he’s finding his feet at Masandawana.

“Being part of Mamelodi Sundowns is a great honor and responsibility. It means being part of a Club with a rich history, a winning culture and strong values of dedication and teamwork, he said, as per the Sundowns magazine.

“It is an opportunity to grow, learn and contribute to the success of an excellent institution.

“I want to contribute with hard work and dedication, both in training and on match days. My goal is to help the team win trophies, perform consistently at the highest level and make a real impact on the pitch. I want to grow alongside the Club, push my teammates to be better and leave a lasting, positive legacy for Sundowns and the supporters.”

On How He Finds The Club’s Facilities And New Teammates

“When I stepped foot at Chloorkop, I was immediately impressed with the facilities, especially coming from Europe,” he added.

“I expected something different, as Africa is often perceived differently, but everything here is world class. The coaches and my new teammates welcomed me from day one and that kind of reception makes you want to give your all for the team.”
