Orlando Pirates are expected to trim their squad during the upcoming PSL transfer window.

Consequently, several fringe players could depart as the club reshapes its squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Reports suggest Karim Kimvuidi could become the latest Buccaneers player to leave.

Kimvuidi remains contracted to Orlando Pirates despite spending the current season on loan at FC Ashdod in the Israeli Premier League.

Key discussions regarding his future are expected to take place during the off-season after FC Ashdod were relegated.

Latest indications suggest that the talented midfielder may be preparing to put the Buccaneers behind him.

“There will be engagements during the off-season, but what is certain is that Kimvuidi will put Pirates in the past,” KickOff reported.

As a result, the midfielder could potentially be released at the end of the campaign if both parties decide to part ways.

Kimvuidi is reportedly valued at around R7 million.

“A price tag in the region of R7 million was then placed on his head after TP Mazembe and JS Kabyile made enquiries,” they added.

DEPTH MEANS HIS SITUATION IS UNLIKELY TO CHANGE AT MAYFAIR

Competition in the Buccaneers midfield remains extremely fierce.

Orlando Pirates currently boast several established and emerging stars, including Thalente Mbatha, Patrick Maswanganyi, Relebohile Mofokeng, Sihle Nduli and Sipho Mbule.

So, regular game time at Orlando Pirates appears difficult to secure at this stage of Kimvuidi’s career.

Therefore, a loan spell – or even a permanent transfer – could benefit both the player and the club.

Kimvuidi would gain valuable playing time to rebuild momentum, while Orlando Pirates could focus on midfielders who form part of their long-term plans.

DO YOU THINK KIMVUIDI SHOULD BE OFF-LOADED BY ORLANDO PIRATES AT THE END OF THE SEASON?
