Orlando Pirates midfielder Sihle Nduli suffered another injury blow on his return against AmaZulu on Wednesday night.
Nduli was named in the Pirates starting line-up in a league match which ended in a 1-1 draw at Durban’s Hollywoodbets Kings Park Stadium.
However, he had to be substituted in the 53rd minute after being injured by Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya who escaped a straight red card.
The midfield anchor first suffered a long-term injury in November 2025 against Golden Arrows, and he was ruled out for the season.
At the time, Nduli injured his Achilles tendon and ankle, and he had to watch his teammates from home for five months.
And it is unclear, at least at this stage, as to how long this latest injury will sideline the former Stellenbosch FC midfielder for.
Nduli’s place was taken by newly-signed midfielder Thapelo Mokobodi who played alongside Camren Dansin for the remainder of the game.

A PROMINENT FEATURE IN HIS EARLY BUCS DAYS…
The 30-year-old midfielder was a prominent feature in Abdeslam Ouaddou’s during his early days with Pirates last season.
Nduli played in 10 league games prior to his injury last term, and by the time he got injured, he had already featured 18 times for the Buccaneers.
