Orlando Pirates have made a major announcement ahead of the new Betway Premiership season.
The Buccaneers have confirmed the reopening of their official Orlando Pirates Store at the Orlando Amstel Arena this Saturday, 15 August 2026. The return marks an important moment for the club and its supporters.
ORLANDO PIRATES STORE RETURNS TO SOWETO
The store brings the official Orlando Pirates retail experience back to eS’Godini, a venue deeply connected to the club’s history and supporters. Supporters attending the reopening will experience the new store alongside fellow Buccaneers.
The club has also planned a range of activities and activations for the day. The club will offer complimentary tickets for the reopening.

Supporters must register in advance at no cost through OpenTickets.co.za. Registration details will then be validated upon entry. Marketing Manager Sindisiwe Khumalo-Sibisi explained the importance of bringing the store back to eS’Godini.
“The return of the Orlando Pirates Store to this iconic venue represents more than the reopening of a retail space.” She added that the move underlines the club’s commitment to Soweto and its supporters.
“It is our commitment to show that the Soweto township is still thriving and continues to hold a special place in the club,” said Khumalo-Sibisi.
Retail Operations Manager Hunadi Sefoka also explained the club’s vision for its retail spaces. “Our retail vision is to create destinations that feel unmistakably Orlando Pirates.”
Sefoka compared the new store with the club’s previous retail presence at Mall of Africa. “Orlando Amstel Arena brings it back to where the story lives,” she said.
The club believes the store will connect its heritage with a new generation of supporters. The reopening will take place on Saturday, 15 August 2026, with gates opening at 10:00. For Orlando Pirates, this is about more than selling merchandise.
It restores an important connection between the club and the supporters who gather at eS’Godini every weekend.
