Orlando Pirates have already confirmed seven new signings ahead of the new season, while Soweto rivals, Kaizer Chiefs have made just two.

Orlando Pirates first four new signings were Mthiyane, Zulu, Ngwato and Lungu as they prepare to retain their Betway Premiership title.
Thereafter, they unveiled three more squad acquisitions, namely Rapoo, Baliti and Mmolai.
Ultimately, the Bucs want to build enough squad depth to not only defend their Betway Premiership crown, but to be as competitive as possible in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League.
KAIZER CHIEFS MAKE SECOND SIGNING
Amakhosi secured the services of Thabo Moloisane from Stellenbosch FC in their first official signing this transfer window.
Thereafter, they signed Renaldo Leaner from Sekhukhune United.
“Kaizer Chiefs have strengthened their goalkeeping department with the signing of renowned shot-stopper Renaldo Leaner,” said the club in a statement.
“Born in Cape Town 28 years ago, Leaner arrives at Naturena with a wealth of experience, having impressed last season and earned a number of call-ups to the Bafana Bafana national team,’ they added.
These are Kaizer Chiefs only signings to date.
However, they are heavily linked with several more players.
AMAKHOSI AFTER MORE SIGNATURES FROM PSL RIVALS
They were said to be pursuing another Stellies star, Langelihle Phili.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi have been linked with Kabelo Dlamini and Tshegofatso Mabasa.
However, Dlamini appears set to remain at Orlando Pirates, while Mabasa is currently a free agent, making him a more realistic transfer target for Kaizer Chiefs.
At the time of publication, neither Mabasa, his agent nor Kaizer Chiefs has provided an update on the reported links.
