“I am excited to be here and grateful for the warm welcome,” he told the Centre Chiefs media.

“I believe my experience will help the team both on and off the field, especially in guiding the younger players. I am also really impressed by the level of football in Botswana, the competitiveness of the league, and the passion I have already seen.

“I am looking forward to contributing positively and helping the team achieve its objectives.”

Rusike played most of his career in South Africa representing the likes of SuperSport United, Maritzburg, Sekhukhune United and Moroka Swallows.

The former Zimbabwe international has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Centre Chiefs and he brings a lot of experience as they aim to compete for the league title.
