Official: Chiefs First January Signing Confirmed

Posted on January 20, 2026

Kaizer Chiefs have signed SA youth international Xhosa Manyana on loan for the remainder of the season.

Chiefs have been quiet in the transfer window so far, with co-coach Cedric Kaze stating they’re happy with the 12 signings ahead of the season – with some yet to make their debut.

But on Tuesday, Cape Town City announced the loan of Manyana.

The 20-year-old, a youth international was yet to feature for City’s first team.

The highly rated utility player was on loan at FC Cincinnati in 2025.

Having turned 20 earlier this month, he is expected to play a role in Chiefs DDC team but could challenge for a place in the first team.
