Golden Arrows have reportedly gone seperate ways with head coach Manqoba Mngqithi, despite finishing the 2025/26 season in sixth place.
According to iDiski Times journalist Sinethemba Sithole, Mngqithi’s departure was finalised earlier this week as the Durban-based side continues to overhaul its technical team.

The club known as Abafana Bes’thende already confirmed the exits. They include assistant coaches Kagiso Dikgacoi and Musa Bilankulu, along with goalkeeper coach Marcus Mashilo.
are now expected to appoint a new head coach before pre-season gets underway. Meanwhile, reported talks with former TS Galaxy mentor Adnan Beganovic failed to produce an agreement.
MANQOBA MNGQITHI AT GOLDEN ARROWS
Mngqithi returned to Golden Arrows late in the 2024/25 season after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns. He immediately steered the club away from a relegation battle.
He successfully secured their top-flight status before overseeing a full pre-season and reshaping the squad for the following campaign.
His work paid off as Golden Arrows finished sixth in the 2025/26 Betway Premiership with 41 points, securing their first top-eight finish since 2020/21.
Across his third spell at the club, Mngqithi managed 46 matches, recording 17 wins, 11 draws and 18 defeats. The run included a memorable 1-0 victory over former employers Mamelodi Sundowns.
Despite meeting the club’s objectives and restoring competitiveness, Mngqithi departed at the end of his contract as Golden Arrows opted to move in a different direction. The former AmaZulu FC head coach is linked with a return to Usuthu, as well as a technical role at Kaizer Chiefs.
