Mohafe Provides Update On Matuludi And Confirms Baloyi Exit

Polokwane City head coach Phuti Mohafe has confirmed Thabang Matuludi is one of several players still on the sidelines with injuries.

The South Africa international defender remains a notable absentee from the squad, given he was amongst the rising talents attracting attention in the league alongside Oswin Appolis, who scored on his Orlando Pirates debut against his former club on Saturday.

“We still have injuries in the club, injuries of Matuludi, Nkwe, Chauke and Daniels, so they are still struggling to recover,” Mohafe said about the absentees.

“But I think we will have them very soon, as for the others? There are some players we have released and [Lucky] Baloyi is one of them.”

City now return to Polokwane where they host Magesi for their league opener next weekend at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium (15h00).
