Kaizer Chiefs have intensified their pursuit of Stellenbosch FC winger Langelihle Phili with a revised offer, according to SABC Sport journalist Mazola Molefe.
The Betway Premiership giants have now tabled a player-plus-cash proposal as they look to complete the deal.
The latest update indicates that Amakhosi are prepared to include a second player in addition to Ashley du Preez to convince Stellenbosch FC to sell the 20-year-old attacker. Phili enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.

The revised proposal comes after Amakhosi had already tabled an initial offer that included fringe players. However, the club has now improved its package in a bid to bridge the gap between the two sides.
Talks are understood to be progressing behind the scenes as Fernando Da Cruz continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.
According to Molefe, Ashley du Preez has already agreed personal terms with Stellenbosch, although the move remains subject to Phili completing the switch in the opposite direction.
The report adds that Soweto giants are now willing to sacrifice another player, together with a cash payment, to get the transfer over the line.
The latest development suggests negotiations have entered a decisive phase. Both clubs now working to find common ground on the structure of the deal.

Born on 21 January 2005 in Tshelimnyama, Phili came through the AmaZulu FC academy before joining Stellenbosch FC. He announced himself by winning the Player of the Tournament and Striker of the Tournament awards at the Engen Champ of Champs in 2023.
He later helped Stellenbosch’s reserve side win the DStv Diski Challenge and the Premier League Next Generation Cup. Phili then made his senior debut under Steve Barker in September 2024.
The winger scored on his senior debut against Nsingizini Hotspurs in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round. He also played a key role as Amajita won the 2025 CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations. The success secured qualification for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
