‘I know Chiefs…’ – Khanye makes bold prediction on Amakhosi’s CAF chances
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Former Junior Khanye has identified five Kaizer Chiefs players he believes could be on their way out, while also urging the club to appoint experienced coach Pitso Mosimane ahead of next season.

The outspoken analyst has been vocal about the need for change at Naturena, insisting that a proven winner like Mosimane could help Amakhosi return to competing for major honours.

Chiefs are currently led by co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze until the end of the season, but uncertainty remains over whether the duo will stay on beyond the current campaign.

Speaking to Robert Marawa on 947, Khanye suggested that a Mosimane arrival would trigger significant squad changes, starting with the goalkeeping department.

Khanye wants Pitso at Chiefs

“Pitso, when he comes, a lot of players will go. He will start in the goalkeeping department. Bruce Bvuma… I think they will let him go, honestly. I have nothing against the boy,” Khanye said.

“Also Fiacre Ntwari, he hasn’t been playing, so why is he still at the club?”

Khanye also believes defensive changes are likely, naming Zitha Kwinika and Given Msimango as potential departures as Chiefs looks to reinforce at centre-back.

“Obviously they will get rid of Zitha [Zitha], and also Given Msimango has done well for the club, but they will let him go,” he added.

In midfield, Khanye questioned the continued selection of Pule Mmodi, hinting that contractual obligations could be influencing team selection.

“Pule Mmodi is getting chances week in and week out maybe his contract says he must play.”

He also suggested that Flavio Silva could be among those to leave.

Khanye concluded by reiterating the need for Chiefs to secure a high-profile coach like Mosimane if they are serious about challenging for league honours and trophies next season.
