Kaizer Chiefs visit Chippa United in Gqeberha
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Kaizer Chiefs will play their penultimate match of 2025 on Wednesday, 3 December when they visit Chippa United in Gqeberha.

The fixture also marks Amakhosi’s return to the Betway Premiership after two consecutive outings in the CAF Confederation Cup against Egyptian sides, Al Masry and Zamalek.

This will be Kaizer Chiefs’ first league match in a month, following their 4-1 victory over Orbit College on 4 November.

The November FIFA international break and the subsequent CAF Confederation Cup fixtures followed that encounter.

Two days to prepare

Amakhosi have just two days to prepare for the clash against Chippa United after their 1-1 draw with Egyptian giants Zamalek at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The hosts, Chippa United, meanwhile, played to a goalless draw against Siwelele FC in Mangaung on Saturday.

Kaizer Chiefs’ technical team will work closely with the medical staff to assess the extent of injuries to Gaston Sirino and Bradley Cross, who were both forced off within the opening 15 minutes of the Zamalek match.

Tickets available

In the log, the Kaizer Chiefs are fourth with 22 points after 11 games. Chippa United are 16th and last in the standings with eight points after 14 clashes.

The encounter will be Amakhosi’s second-last before the six-week AFCON break – with the league expected to resume on 20 January 2026.

The Glamour Boys will wrap up their 2025 commitments away from home against TS Galaxy on Sunday, 7 December at 15:30.

Supporters in Gqeberha and surrounding areas can purchase tickets via Webtickets online or at Pick’n Pay supermarkets nationwide for R60.

Kick-off for the match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is scheduled for 19:30.

Prediction

Chippa United 1-2 Kaizer Chiefs
