Kaizer Chiefs are planning several significant moves as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
There is expected to be plenty of movement both in and out of Naturena in the coming weeks.
Amakhosi have already confirmed the departure of Aden McCarthy.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Stellenbosch FC defender Thabo Moloisane has agreed terms with the Glamour Boys, with an official announcement potentially just around the corner.
So, who else is on Amakhosi’s radar?
LIST OF KAIZER CHIEFS TRANSFER TARGETS
- Thabo Moloisane (Stellenbosch FC)
- Langelihle Phili (Stellenbosch FC)
- Mhleli Mabuza (O Elvas CAD)
- Kabelo Dlamini (Orlando Pirates)
- Tshegofatso Mabasa (Free agent)
Moloisane is the player most heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
Recent reports claim the towering defender has already signed for Amakhosi. If those reports are accurate, he could soon be unveiled as the club’s first signing of the transfer window.
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch FC team-mate Langelihle Phili has emerged as Kaizer Chiefs’ latest reported transfer target.
The highly-rated midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the PSL and has reportedly been identified as a player capable of strengthening the club’s midfield options.
However, securing his signature may prove far from straightforward.
As previously reported by The South African, European clubs are also monitoring the talented midfielder.
Consequently, Kaizer Chiefs could face stiff competition should formal offers arrive from abroad.

AMAKHOSI REIGNITE INTEREST IN MABUZA
Kaizer Chiefs have also reportedly revived their interest in Mhleli Mabuza.
The defender was part of the group that travelled to the Netherlands for the club’s pre-season preparations last year.
However, the technical team ultimately decided against offering him a contract at the time. Now, that stance appears to have changed.
Reports suggest Amakhosi have reassessed the player’s progress and are once again considering bringing him to Naturena.
“The club is once again looking at bringing in Mhleli. They want him back. He trained with the team in the pre-season; unfortunately, the coaches were not impressed at that time,” Soccer Laduma reported.
“He went back to Portugal, where he signed a one-year contract with Amora SAD because there was still hope of him coming back to Chiefs, and that’s why they have reignited the interest in him. But apparently, everything will be decided at the end of the season,” the publication’s source added.
AMAKHOSI AFTER OUTBOUND ORLANDO PIRATES DUO
Tshegofatso Mabasa and Kabelo Dlamini have both been linked with Kaizer Chiefs for some time.
Now, the possibility of a move appears more realistic than ever for one of those players.
Mabasa recently became a free agent following his departure from Orlando Pirates. Links between the striker and Kaizer Chiefs date back several years.
Even during his loan spell at Stellenbosch FC, the prolific forward reportedly attracted interest from Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu and Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
His free-agent status now makes him an even more intriguing option as Amakhosi continue assessing attacking reinforcements.
Meanwhile, reports surrounding Dlamini have gathered momentum.
What was once dismissed as speculation is increasingly being presented as genuine interest.
Reports indicate that Kaizer Chiefs are monitoring the Orlando Pirates midfielder closely. Insiders have suggested the club views him as a player capable of adding quality and creativity in midfield.
Whether any of these pursuits result in completed deals remains to be seen.
However, one thing is clear: Kaizer Chiefs are preparing for a busy transfer window as they continue rebuilding their squad ahead of the new campaign.
