Kaizer Chiefs have made three big annoucements weeks before the official transfer window opens.
The Soweto giants are set to begin their pre-season next week after a good 2025/26 season where they finished third in the Betway Premiership.
This week, Chiefs announced the signing of former Stellenbosch FC defender Thabo Moloisane. He made 115 appearances over three seasons with Stellies and competed in the CAF Confederation Cup.
“Moloisane brings valuable experience of African competition, having featured in the Confederation Cup. His continental pedigree will be key for Amakhosi as the team returns to CAF competition for another season. He will link up with the Glamour Boys when the squad returns for pre-season training,” Kaizer Chiefs said in a statement on Thursday.
“We extend a warm welcome to Thabo and look forward to seeing him in the Gold & Black colours of Amakhosi.”
Before Moloisane’s announcement, Amakhosi welcomed new coach Fernando Da Cruz. The French-Portuguese coach replaces Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze and will officially begin his tenure on 1 July.
Da Cruz briefly worked with Chiefs as Nasreddine Nabi’s assistant in 2024 but left to join the Moroccan national team.
Kaizer Chiefs have only announced one departure
Chiefs have only confirm the departure of defender Aden McCarthy. The young defender has completed a move to join Azerbaijan-based Sabah FK.
With just a week left before Kaizer Chiefs kick off their pre-season, many fans are curious if the likes of George Matlou and Gaston Sirino will remain at the club next season.
