Kaizer Chiefs striker Lilepo wanted in Morocco
According to Soccer Laduma, Moroccan giants AS FAR are prepared to significantly increase their efforts to sign the Congolese international.
“The interest from AS FAR is very serious. They are prepared to pay in excess of $1 million (around R16.5 million) to Kaizer Chiefs for Lilepo. This is one of the biggest clubs in Morocco, and they have the financial muscle to make deals like this happen. The discussions with Chiefs are already underway,” a source with knowledge of the negotiations told the Siya crew.
According to the same source, AS FAR are not the only side keen on signing Lilepo, who arrived at Chiefs from Valenciennes in January 2025. The DR Congo star managed a respectable tally of five goals and four assists in 27 league outings last term in a mostly wide attacking role.
“There has also been interest from clubs in Libya and Egypt, but at this stage, Morocco appears to be the most likely destination if he leaves Chiefs. AS FAR have shown the most intent and their offer is difficult to ignore,” the source said.
Chiefs make big changes
Kaizer Chiefs have released five senior stars, including Gaston Sirino. Meanwhile, there are three new arrivals, headlined by that of Thabo Moloisane.
