Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has provided an important transfer update.

The Glamour Boys currently have a bloated first team squad after signing a host of new players as well as promoting a good few youngsters to their first team.

Now, the club are looking to trim their squad with just a few days left in the transfer window.

More Kaizer Chiefs exits looming, Nabi confirms

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has confirmed that the club are working on trimming their squad down.

“Yes. It is true that the squad is big. The club is working on options to try to offload the squad. Especially to give the possibility to some players that didn’t have the consistency or didn’t have enough time to get more time playing (time) into other teams,” Nabi said as quoted by Soccer Laduma.

“And as well to some young players to get the experience needed in the PSL into other clubs. Everyone is aware of that and is working around the clock.”

Kaizer Chiefs have just over a week to get the deals over the line. The transfer window is set to shut close on 22 September.

In the meantime, Nabi will be completely focused on Sekhukhune United. The Glamour Boys host United in a crucial league match on Tuesday evening.
