Chiefs Make Late Change – iDiski Times

Kaizer Chiefs were forced to make a late change with Inacio Miguel withdrawing and Bradley Cross taking his place.

The Angolan centre-back was stretchered off in their Soweto Derby defeat to Orlando Pirates and suffered a minor knock in the warm-up ahead of the Richards Bay clash.

The club confirmed prior to kick off that Miguel could not take part in the clash while Sibongiseni Mthethwa took the armband to lead the side

“NB: Change

Miguel Out. Cross In. Captain Mthethwa.”

The Glamour Boys are looking to end their sub-par run of form that has seen them lose two league outings on the trot subsequently dropping to fifth on the log standings.

They went down 2-1 to Stellenbosch FC in midweek at FNB Stadium before being hammered 3-0 by Orlando Pirates at the same venue this past weekend.

Amakhosi currently sit on 30 points in 17 outings but could climb as high as third if they come out victorious tonight.

The Natal Rich Boyz on the other hand are equally desperate for points having failed to claim a victory in their last three outings in all competitions, losing two games and drawing one, to sit in 12th spot.

Chiefs came out victorious when the two sides last met with a 1-0 victory at FNB Stadium, courtesy of a strike from Gastón Sirino.

In the seven meetings, Amakhosi have won five matches with the KwaZulu-Natal side winning two. There has been no draws.
