Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly set to travel to Europe for their pre-season.
Last year, the team spent their pre-season training in the Netherlands playing several friendly matches with European oppositions.
According to iDiski Times, Chiefs are set to have their pre-season in either Germany or the Netherlands around July.
Having parted ways with Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze as co-coaches, Amakhosi are yet to announce their next head coach.
In terms of the squad, the Soweto giants might have to offload several players in the coming weeks.
Kaizer Chiefs could release close to 10 players
Amakhosi finished third in the Betway Premiership which was their best finish in six years.
According to Soccer Laduma, there will be a massive clear-out as Kaizer Chiefs once again look to rebuild under a new technical team.
“For now, the management is looking at which players to keep or release,” a source told the publication.
“You know most of the ones I have told you have their contracts coming to an end, while others have not really impressed in the past season, and that’s what will determine who stays and who leaves.
“But I tell you, it’s believed that there will be a massive clear-out before looking at the new recruits.”
With Ben Youssef and Kaze gone, Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with Krunoslav Jurcic, who is set to part ways with Pyramids FC.
Besides Jurcic, Amakhosi have been linked with Manqoba Mngqithi and Pitso Mosimane. The former is said to have handed his resignation at Lamontville Golden Arrows.
In terms of departures of players, the club has yet to make any formal announcement.
