Kaizer Chiefs will host Sekhukhune United at FNB Stadium on Wednesday as they look to bounce back from their disappointing MTN8 exit.
The Soweto giants suffered a 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows in the MTN8 quarter-finals this past weekend. The result came after Chiefs had started their campaign with a 3-1 victory over newcomers Kruger United.
Fernando Da Cruz’s side must now quickly turn their attention back to the Betway Premiership, where they currently sit at the top of the table.
Chiefs will be wary of Sekhukhune, having suffered their first league defeat of last season against Ba Bina Noko after making a strong start to the campaign. They will be hoping to avoid a repeat when the two sides meet at FNB Stadium.
Another defeat could raise questions around Da Cruz and his team, while a victory would go a long way towards restoring confidence after their early MTN8 disappointment.

Luke Baartman is expected to retain his place after impressing in Chiefs’ opening two matches of the season.
In defence, Bradley Cross could return to the lineup, with Thabo Moloisane expected to continue at centre-back.
