Fernando Da Cruz and Kaizer Chiefs are busy with their pre-season tour of Spain, and have played two matches on tour so far.
The good news is that they are off to an unbeaten start. The bad news is that Da Cruz’ side are yet to register their first win on tour but there are positive signs overall going forward.

KAIZER CHIEFS HELD AGAIN
Kaizer Chiefs were held to a 1-1 draw by Saudi Pro League side Al Kholood in their second friendly match on Wednesday during their pre-season tour of Spain. Asanele Velebayi scored in the 15th minute.
Prior to that, they drew 1-1 with Glascow Rangers in their first friendly on Sunday afternoon. Etioso Ighodara was the man on target for the Glamour Boys on the day.
In both matches, they lead. In both matches, they conceded late equalizers. In the most recent match against Al Kholood, they conceded an 82nd minute penalty which resulted in the equalizer.
Meanwhile, as reported on The South African, Kaizer Chiefs conceder a late equaliser against Rangers too.
AMAKHOSI TO CONCLUDE PRE-SEASON TOUR OF SPAIN AGAINST LA LIGA SIDE
Kaizer Chiefs will face La Liga outfit Elche FC next, this Saturday.
They will play at the Pinatar Arena in Spain. Kick-off is at 19:00 (SA Time).
This will be their last match on tour in Spain. However, it is not Da Cruz and Amakhosi’s last pre-season match.
In fact, they will have one more pre-season match when they host Scottland FC in the Toyota Cup at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday, 26 July.
