Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz wants four players to bolster his options in the attacking third. His hope is that it adds a new dimension to their patterns of play, making them more difficult to play against.
“A striker, new wingers and an offensive midfielder. We have good profiles (already), but we asked management to get different profiles, so that we can play different football and be less predictable.”
Chiefs will sell Congolese wide attacker Glody Lilepo ahead of the new campaign. Meanwhile, coach Da Cruz confirmed that Thabo Cele is not part of his immediate plans.

Khanyisa Mayo has signed permanently from CR Belouizdad for a reported fee close to R9.8 million following a prior loan spell. Adolf Mtasingwa is a 27-year-old defensive midfielder signed from Azam FC for an undisclosed fee, and the first Tanzanian player to join Amakhosi. Central defender Thabo Moloisane brings PSL know-how after his spell with Stellenbosch, and goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner joins from Sekhukhune to bolster Chiefs’ options between the sticks.
Chiefs fans not thrilled by midfield arrival

Meanwhile, Kabelo Nkgwesa was given a run-out in Chiefs’ first friendly match of the tour, a 1-1 draw against Scottish giants Rangers. After getting a taste of first-team football, the 19-year-old left-back, nicknamed ‘Festival’, wants more.
