Kaizer Chiefs football director Bobby Motaung has promised more backing for the new manager if they continue to see progress on the pitch.

Kaizer Chiefs have signed half a dozen new players in order to mount a challenge for the Betway premiership. Goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner, central defender Thabo Moloisane and holding midfielder Adolf Bitegeko are all ready to go with vast experience under their belts. The Glamour Boys are also looking to the future, with 21-year-old winger Langelihle Phili arriving from Stellenbosch. Faiz Abrahams also joins from the Winelands side on loan. Meanwhile, Khanyisa Mayo has joined permanently after a loan spell from Algerian side Belouizdad.

Bobby Motaung confirmed that fans can expect more signings before the PSL transfer window closes in September as they back new manager Fernando Da Cruz to deliver success.
“The new coach obviously knows he has to win the league, he has to win cups, he has to bring the glory days back. He must enjoy his work with the support that we are giving him with the players and everybody,” Motaung told FARPost in an exclusive interview.
“In football, you never stop thinking of any new signings. In football, you are always looking for the best. If you get the best in the market, you get it, and if you can afford it and there is space for them and the coach needs them, we will always support.”
Chiefs remain unbeaten in the Betway Premiership
Kaizer Chiefs’ new boss has started life in decent shape, defeat in the MTN8 notwithstanding. Unbeaten after four Betway Premiership matches, the Glamour Boys held Sundowns to a 1-1 draw but followed it with a 2-2 draw at Richards Bay in the torrential rain. Next up is a home clash with Siwelele on Sunday, 6 September.
