Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced the transfer of attacker Glody Lilepo to Al Ahly Benghazi effective immediately.
Al Ahly Benghazi are a Libyan outfit, and Lilepo will get a chance to flourish in that part of the continent this season.
He becomes the second player to be sold by Chiefs in this transfer window after Aden McCarthy was signed by Sabah FK in Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, Lilepo is the second Chiefs player to move to Libya after Thatayaone Ditlhokwe in February 2024.
How the loss of the two players will affect Amakhosi remains to be seen although the club continues to boast their squad for the current campaign.

“Democratic Republic of Congo-born forward Glody Makabi Lilepo has completed a move from Kaizer Chiefs to Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi, following an agreement on the transfer fee between the two Clubs,” said the club in a statement.
“The Club wishes Lilepo success in Libya and throughout the remainder of his football career.”
WHAT IMPACT DID LILEPO HAVE AT AMAKHOSI?
Lilepo was an impactful player for Kaizer Chiefs during his one-and-a-half year stint having arrived in January 2025.
The 29-year-old attacker was a regular feature in the Amakhosi starting line-up, playing 56 games during his time there.
Lilepo leaves Chiefs with 15 goals and five assists to his name.
