Ex-Chiefs Defender Ngcobo Spotted At New Club

Former Sekhukhune United and Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo has arrived in Cape Town to undergo assessment at Cape Town City.

Latest update received by iDiski Times is that Ngcobo stopped training with Chippa United a few days ago and is currently in the Mother City to try it out at the Citizens under the watchful eye of head coach Jan Vreman and his technical team.

The Citizens are possibly preparing for life in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after being relegated last season, but they still have a pending case which will be heard and concluded in the not-so distant future.

The 31-year-old spent almost two weeks in Gqeberha being assessed but decided to give it try at CTC, while he was still under assessment at the Chilli Boys.

Ngcobo was named PSL Defender of the Season in 2020/21 after he had a fantastic campaign with Swallows FC, which saw him being snapped up by Chiefs.

‘Roadblock’ made 45 appearances in three seasons for Amakhosi before leaving on a free transfer to join Babina Noko.
