Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze offered a blunt assessment following his side’s Soweto derby loss.
The Burundian mentor has suggested Orlando Pirates used experience and game management to disrupt the rhythm of the match during the opening stages.

Amakhosi fell behind early when Tshepang Moremi’s long-range effort took a decisive deflection off Flavio da Silva to beat goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma inside five minutes, a moment that immediately shifted momentum in Pirates’ favour.
From there, the Buccaneers controlled the tempo and added a second goal through Oswin Appollis before Evidence Makgopa sealed a 3-0 victory late in the second half.
Speaking afterwards, Kaze argued that repeated stoppages prevented Chiefs from settling into the game, describing what he believed were deliberate tactics used to slow play.

“I have to congratulate Orlando Pirates for the three points, I also have to congratulate them for the tricks that they did in the first 15 minutes,” he told the media.
“Falling down every time, every minute someone is falling down, the keeper falling down.
“Keeper fall down like five times but he didn’t get subbed, I have to congratulate them for that because it’s experience after that the game slipped out of our hands.

“The opponents deserve the three points today,” the Kaizer Chiefs tactician concluded.
The defeat saw Pirates climb back to the summit of the Betway Premiership standings on 41 points after 18 matches.
