CAF Makes Huge AFCON Announcement

CAF have announced that the African Cup of Nations will now be hosted every four years after 2027 while there will be an African Nations League implemented on an annual basis from 2028.

President Patrice Motsepe made an announcement during a media press briefing in an Executive Committee Meeting in Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday afternoon.

Motsepe further announced that there has been a significant increase in AFCON prize money for the 2025 edition to be staged in Morocco as of this weekend.

The African Nations League will take place across September, October and November.
