The biggest Betway Premiership result came at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. Mamelodi Sundowns claimed a convincing 5-2 victory over AmaZulu. The result moved the Brazilians closer to the top of the standings after another impressive attacking display.
Bryan Leon opened the scoring before Teboho Mokoena doubled the advantage, giving Sundowns a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime. AmaZulu responded strongly after the break, with Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya scoring twice to bring the visitors level.

Tashreeq Matthews restored Sundowns’ lead before Bryan Leon completed his brace, while Bennet Mokoena added a fifth goal to seal a memorable victory.
While Sundowns produced the biggest scoreline, Kaizer Chiefs were involved in another dramatic encounter at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
Richards Bay made the stronger start, with Nqaba Xulu finding the net twice to put the hosts 2-1 ahead at halftime. Lebohang Maboe had earlier converted a penalty for Kaizer Chiefs, keeping Amakhosi within touching distance.
The visitors eventually rescued a point in the 77th minute when Siphesihle Ndlovu fired home after a brilliant setup from substitute Asanele Velebayi.
GOLDEN ARROWS EDGE STELLENBOSCH FC
Elsewhere, Lamontville Golden Arrows secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC. Junior Dion scored the decisive goal in the 70th minute to hand Arrows maximum points and pile more pressure on the Western Cape side.
The only goalless encounter came at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, where Polokwane City and Milford FC settled for a 0-0 draw.
Overall, Wednesday’s action produced 12 goals from four matches, adding another layer of excitement to an already unpredictable Betway Premiership campaign.
Moving ahead, the weekend’s will unfortunately feature zero league games. The MTN8 semifinals will take center stage. Orlando Pirates will host Sekhukhune United in Soweto on Saturday. The second game will see Sundowns travel to Arrows on Sunday.
