All Teams Qualified For AFCON Last 16 Confirmed

After Nigeria, Tunisia and Tanzania booked their tickets for the Africa Cup of Nations knockout stages, all 16 teams for the Round of 16 have been confirmed.

The Super Eagles flew into the knockout stages, becoming the First Nation at this tournament to win all three group stage matches after beating Uganda 3-1 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, there was no winner in the other fixture between Tunisia and Tanzania, which ended 1-1. The result saw actually both teams qualify, with Tunisia ending Group C on four points, while Tanzania made it through with just two points,

They qualified for their first knockout stages ever without actually winning a single match at the AFCON so far.

Mozambique, Benin and Sudan โ€“ currently in third place in their respective groups โ€“ have also booked their tickets for the knockout stages, as their tally of three points from two games were not beaten by the third-placed teams from Groups A, B and C.
