Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has expressed excitement ahead of their tricky Betway Premiership clash against Sekhukhune United at Orlando Stadium.

Ouaddou passed his first test as new Bucs coach after seeing off Polokwane City 2-0 in the MTN8 quarterfinals eSgodini where they will meet Mamelodi Sundowns in the semis.

Speaking at the launch of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership at The Galleria in Sandton on Wednesday, the former Marumo Gallants mentor is already looking forward to the first match of the season.

“I’m very excited to start the new season of the PSL. We had the opportunity today to meet all our colleagues,” he told the club’s media.

“Everybody is ambitious, everybody wants to make great things and we have started last week with an interesting performance.

“So, I’m looking forward with the players and the staff to keep going and to deliver a great game again in front of our fans who were just fantastic.”

The Buccaneers take on Babina Noko at Orlando Stadium today, with the match kicking off at 17:30.
