Cassius Mailula Returns to Toronto FC After Wydad Casablanca Stint
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

South African forward Cassius Mailula has ended his time with Wydad Casablanca and is set to rejoin his parent club, Toronto FC. The 22-year-old spent the last season on loan at the Moroccan giants but will now head back to Major League Soccer (MLS).

Mailula, who initially impressed at Mamelodi Sundowns before moving to Toronto in 2023, had limited opportunities at Wydad. His return gives him a fresh chance to fight for playing time under Toronto FC’s new coaching staff.

The move raises questions about his next steps—whether he’ll stay in MLS or seek another loan for regular minutes. Fans will be watching closely as the young striker looks to reignite his career.
