15 fixtures left in title race

Orlando Pirates are firmly in control of their Betway Premiership destiny as the season enters the second round.

After 15 matches, the Buccaneers sit at the top of the league with 35 points, three clear of reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

ORLANDO PIRATES LEADING THE RACE

With 15 league games still to be played, attention now turns to how the Sea Robbers manage the remaining fixtures. The run-in includes a balanced mix of home and away matches, along with key encounters that will test their depth and discipline.

Orlando Pirates return to league action with a home fixture against Marumo Gallants before hosting Sundowns in what shapes up as an important midweek clash.

A Soweto Derby away to Kaizer Chiefs follows, a fixture that often brings its own challenges regardless of form or league position.

Away trips to Polokwane City and TS Galaxy will demand focus, while home matches against Richards Bay, Siwelele FC, AmaZulu FC and Golden Arrows offer opportunities to maintain momentum.

The Buccaneers will also face Kaizer Chiefs again at home later in April, before travelling to Stellenbosch FC in early May.

The closing stretch of the season includes away fixtures against Magesi FC and Orbit College, with a home meeting against Durban City in between.

With the league race still finely balanced, Orlando Pirates know that consistency will be key.
