MORE ON TS GALAXY VS MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

Kabo Yellow and the Rockets took very different paths ahead of this Round of 16 clash. Sundowns, the defending league champions, booked their spot with a 2-1 win over Gomora United on 4 February 2026.

TS Galaxy, on the other hand, had to grind for a 1-0 extra-time win against Marumo Gallants on 8 February 2026.

Since the Nedbank Cup was rebranded in 2008, Sundowns has been one of its strongest teams, winning the first edition that year and adding trophies in 2015, 2020, and 2022.

They also hold the record for the most goals in the competition, including a remarkable 24-0 win over Powerlines FC in 2012.

TS Galaxy made history in 2019 by becoming the first lower-division team to win the trophy, defeating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the final while still in the National First Division.
