Lucas Ribeiro Costa’s goal against Borussia Dortmund has voted the Goal of the Tournament of the FIFA Club World Cup, beating likes of Lionel Messi, Jamal Musiala, Joao Pedro.

Ribeiro finished a brilliant solo run from his own half against the Bundesliga side in Mamelodi Sundowns’ 4-3 defeat to the Bundesliga giants.

It was one of the games of the tournament, with Costa handing Masandawana an early lead. However, Dortmund struck back and netted three goals before the break, plus a fourth early in the second half. Masandawana, though, didn’t give up and netted two more for a memorable match.

Ribeiro’s goal was one of 10 goals on the shortlist published by FIFA, and fans voted for the Brazilian as their favourite.
