Sundowns can bury Chiefs and Pirates by signing these two stars

Mamelodi Sundowns could extend their advantage over Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates this coming season by signing two quality players.

Having been eliminated from the FIFA Club World Cup in the early stages, Downs coach Miguel Cardoso would look to strengthen his squad. The Brazilians claimed their eighth league title in a row but ultimately fell short in the CAF Champions League, where they lost out in the final.

So far, Sundowns have yet to make any signings. The club have parted ways with five players having returned from the USA.

With a mixture of youth and experience in their squad, the Tshwane giants will look to add more experience in their team especially if they want to win the CAF CL.

Which signing would benefit Sundowns in a long run?

Fawaaz Basadien is one player that everyone has been talking about. The quality left-back has been linked to Kaizer Chiefs in the past but it appears the Soweto giants failed to meet Stellenbosch’s asking price.

The 28-year-old is arguably the best left-back in the country given his ability to defend and attack.

Another signing which can benefit Sundowns is that of Thabo Moloisane. The Stellies defender has shown class in the past season and is definitely a wanted man. Masandawana can look at Moloisane as a potential replacement for Suarez.

Do you think Basadien will join Sundowns?
