Seema Sends Warning As Zwane, Mashiane, Lepasa Shape Up

Siwelele FC head coach Lehlohonolo Seema says they will not rush their exciting new signings into the starting line-up but warns a different side awaits after the FIFA international break.

The club signed Zakhele Lepasa after his exit from Orlando Pirates and secured Kaizer Chiefs duo Samkelo Zwane and Happy Mashiane on loan – all of which had little to no action last season.

With match fitness not ideal, they will be eased into the set-up, but Seema admits they have brought a new energy into the squad immediately, with a winning mentality.

“The new players, getting into the next round will help us because where they are coming from, they were not playing many matches, so the contributions, the positive things is that some of them have won things,” Seema explained.

“So I can see the vibe in the dressing room and trainings, small sided game, they are bringing something to the team, but in terms of play, we have not seen much, we’re patient with them because we know what they are capable of… we won’t rush them.

“We will work with them, help them – come end of FIFA break, you will see a different Siwelele, I’m not sangoma, but working with this guys, I see what’s happening, there’s steady progress happening – I can tell you that…

“The teams who couldn’t beat is before the FIFA break, they are in for it, things are looking very positive.”

Siwelele take on Orlando Pirates this weekend in the last-16 of the Carling Knockout on Saturday at Orlando Stadium (15h00).
