Richards Bay Part Ways With Three Players

Posted on January 30, 2026

Richards Bay FC have parted ways with three players as part of their restructuring process during the January transfer window, iDiski Times has learnt.

The Natal Rich Boyz are determined to return stronger in the second round of the 2025/26 season as they look to push their way into the top half of the Betway Premiership standings.

The Zululand-based outfit concluded the first round of the campaign on 18 points after 15 league matches, leaving them with work to do in the second half of the season.

According to iDiski Times sources, the club has released Mfundo Thikazi and Lindokuhle Mtshali, while also parting ways with Botswana international left-back Benson Kitso Mangolo.

Mangolo secured a move back home and has signed for Mochudi Centre Chiefs on a six-month deal in the Botswana Premier League.

Both Mtshali and Mangolo joined Richards Bay at the start of the current season, while Thikazi arrived in March following the expulsion of his former club, Royal AM, from the league.

Mtshali featured in seven matches, Mangolo made just two appearances, and Thikazi managed 15 outings during their respective spells at the club.

Meanwhile, Richards Bay have been active in reinforcing their squad, confirming the signings of Ugandan striker Joel Madondo, Tully Nashixwa, and Thembeka Sikhakhane, while also welcoming back Sanele Barns as they prepare for the challenges of the second round.
