Relebohile Mofokeng reacts after Man of the Match performance

Posted on February 1, 2026

Relebohile Mofokeng has reacted to his Man of the Match performance against Magesi FC on Saturday evening at the Orlando Amstel Arena.

The 21-year-old winger provided an assist and scored a goal as Orlando Pirates climbed to second in the Betway Premiership.

Yanela Mbuthuma opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Mofokeng added a second to give Pirates all three points at home.

“Against a low block, we will always have opportunity to play, opportunity to get touches, so yeah I think we did very well. We trained the low blocks so yeah, I think we did very well,” Mofokeng told SuperSport TV.

“We needed the three points in our first game [against Sekhukhune United], we missed our opportunities, so we thought that this game will be the game for us to fix our problems, so I think we did very well to get the three points.

“Well done to the gents for getting the maximum points.”

Despite a slow start to the 2025/26 season, Relebohile Mofokeng has netted twice and provided four assists. He thanked the fans for coming in their numbers against Magesi.

“Our fans always come in numbers. They make it very easy for us to have confidence to keep on going. The support they give us is very great. We enjoy it and when we do mistakes they keep us going.

“They must just come in numbers and we will give them the results.”

Can Pirates claim the league?
