Orlando Pirates legend Albert Mahlangu has delved into what he told the club’s new players during their induction late last month.
Sipho Mbule,Tshepang Moremi, Sihle Nduli, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tshepo Mashiloane, Masindi Nemtajela, Nkosikhona Ndaba and Yanela Mbuthuma enjoyed an induction tour that included a visit to Pirates’ training facility, their home ground Orlando Stadium, a visit to the home of the club’s founding member Bethuel Mokgosinyane in Orlando East and the Zodwa Khoza Foundation.
The players also met Ghosts legends including Mahlangu himself, Tebogo Moloi, Lucky Lekgwathi, Edward Motale, Happy Jele and Innocent Maela.
“Bashin” told iDiski Times senior writer Matshelane Mamabolo that his talk with the players was to make them understand what it really means to wear the famous black and white especially away from the cameras.
“I spoke to them, and I made them aware that ‘from outside it looks easy, but when you get inside Orlando Pirates it is hard’,” Mahlangu told iDiski Times.
“So, they are all going to have to double up on their work rate. Can you imagine just how tough it will be for them to break into the team from last season?
“But they are top players whose presence is only going to help lift Pirates’ standard.”
