Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has expressed disappointment at their shock second defeat on the trot.
The Buccaneers had taken an early lead through Patrick Maswanganyi in the 16th minute but conceded on the stroke of halftime through Daniel Msendami.
Pirates wasted an avalanche of chances to put the match to bed and were left to rue their missed chances as substitute Jaisen Clifford’s match-winning header in the 92nd minute all but gave Bahlabane Ba Ntwa maximum points with a 2-1 win.
In his post-match interview on SuperSport TV, Ouaddou was not happy with how his charges applied themselves and added that they would rectify their mistakes for the next match.
“Yeah of course, it’s not the result we expected. We came here with a lot of ambition to take these three points that we lost at home,” he said.
“I can say that we started very well the game, opening the score with a lot of chances again that we didn’t put in the net and like I said when you don’t score, you give the opportunity to the opponent to finish you.
“So yeah, it’s a big disappointment that we start very bad but we’ll sit and we’ll think about that.
“We are going to analyse the game and to see what’s going wrong especially in the second half. We try to make some changement to bring some fresh blood, unfortunately the changement that we did they didn’t give what we expect from them. It was about their level.
“Yeah, it’s a big disappointment but we’re going to sit, to analyse and to come back stronger.”
The Buccaneers next take on Mamelodi Sundowns in a crunch MTN8 first leg semi-final this coming weekend.
