Pirates coach and Arrows star win monthly award

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has been named the best coach in the Betway Premiership for September/October.

The Player and Goal of the Month awards winner have both gone to one exciting footballer: Siyanda Ndlovu of Golden Arrows.

LATEST BETWAY PREMIERSHIP AWARDS

Under Ouaddou, Orlando Pirates played three league matches and won all three:

  • 1-0 over Siwelele FC on 23 September at the Toyota Stadium
  • 2-0 over TS Galaxy on 30 September at the Orlando Stadium
  • 1-0 over Polokwane City on 22 October at the Orlando Stadium.

SIYANDA NDLOVU

Meanwhile, Ndlovu, the most exciting forward in Mzansi right now, was named the Player of the Month after three goals in three matches.

The Dannhauser-born attacker first scored in the 2-1 defeat to Polokwane City on 17 September at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, found his second in the 3-0 win over Orbit College on the 29th, before scoring against in the 4-3 loss to Stellenbosch FC on 22 October. The former Happy Crown and Newcastle All Stars footballer also delivered two assists against Orbit and another in the Stellies thriller.

His cracking dribbling for the solo goal against the Maroons has also been honoured with the Goal of the Month award.

In the meantime, the Sea Robbers and Abafana Bes’thende are locking horns in Umlazi this evening. The game will kick off at 19:30 at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
