Nigeria coach Eric Chelle has announced his 31-man preliminary squad to face Rwanda and Bafana Bafana in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Super Eagles need two wins and hope other results go their way to keep their slim hopes of qualifying for the 2026 tournament alive.
Nigeria have experienced a below-par campaign so far, winning just one of their six games, which sees them sit in fourth spot in Group C with just seven points – six behind Bafana.
With just four games remaining, Nigeria need to beat both September opponents in order to have a chance at qualifying.
Chelle selected a strong squad, which includes the likes of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze, while Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is the only PSL player in the squad.
