Nasreddine Nabi’s Kaizer Chiefs results in 35 matches

Posted on October 11, 2025

On Friday, Kaizer Chiefs confirmed that they have parted ways with head coach Nasreddine Nabi, bringing an end to a short spell with Amakhosi.

The Tunisian tactician leaves after only one full season in charge, a term that brought both disappointment and a long-overdue taste of silverware.

Let’s look closely at the full list of match results under Nabi…

NASREDDINE NABI AT KAIZER CHIEFS

Nabi became a Khosi in July 2024 from Morocco’s AS FAR, arriving with great promise to restore the club’s glory days.

His reign delivered very inconsistent results, including a disappointing ninth-place finish in the Betway Premiership. However, Nabi’s Kaizer Chiefs career will live forever, thanks to the Nedbank Cup championship, the club’s first trophy in a decade.

Unfortunately, three defeats in four games at the start of the new season sealed his fate.

A LOOK AT THE RESULTS AFTER 35 MATCHES

  • 12 wins
  • Nine draws
  • 14 defeats
  • 39 goals scored, 42 conceded
  • 1.29 points per game
  • One trophy (Nedbank Cup).

Personal challenges also disrupted Nabi’s season. He missed 11 matches in total, two due to illness last term, and nine more this season during compassionate leave and suspension. His assistants, Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze, stepped in impressively, winning seven of those games.

Kaizer Chiefs have since confirmed that Youssef and Kaze will take charge until the end of the season.
